My name is Barbara Ayars, and I've been making bears for the last 15 years. It all started out of my love for antique dolls, bears, laces, toys and anything antique. After collecting for a very long time I decided to try my hand at making my own bear. Well, it was love at first site, when I cut the mohair and started sewing the bear, and step by step I was seeing it come to life I knew then that I was hooked for ever. I love making teddy bears the classic antique well played with type. I think that I will be making teddy bears for ever and spreading the joy. As a teddy bear collector I know how it feels to find that special bear and take it home with you, I make every bear with love and happiness and I hope that these feelings pass on to it's new owner.
